I run hot and cold. Either I’m obsessed with something, or I truly couldn’t care less about it.
Right now? Pyrex is on my hot list. Oh yes, Pyrex. That stuff your mama or grandmama used to have (and possible still has) that was used to hold all the family casseroles, leftovers, and baking ingredients. I am drooling over it. Because, y’all…it looks so stinkin’ darling in a retro kitchen. The best part about it is that it’s fairly affordable and readily available, so I don’t have to worry about spending an arm and a leg to get a nice, little stash of it.
Isn’t it so lovely stacked together?
We don’t have any glass cabinets, but we do have some open-shelving. I kind of love how it looks peeking out from behind a cabinet. I’m sure I could adjust this to work for us.
I really love how Pyrex is the epitome of vintage. It’s accessable, useable, and family-friendly, too. I can have a collection without worrying about keeping it in a china cabinet for fear of breakage. If it breaks, my heart my crumble for a second, but it’s not the end of the world. I’m totally feeling these darling casserole dishes and refridgerator dishes in primary colors, too.
I like the lived-in, mixed-together look because I think it’s most maintainable, but the OCD in me is happy looking at this picture of color coordinated dishes.
So what are you loving right now? Are you with me on the Pyrex train, or is it too old-fashioned for ya?
