Cookies for sweet dreams…

Arlo has been waking up with nightmares. He wakes screaming for me as tears stream down his face. It doesn’t happen every nap or bedtime. Maybe once or twice a week. But I can hold him for an hour afterwards sometimes without being able to fully console him. Yesterday, it happened again. He held him close and rocked him while shushing in his ear. I tried to pull him away to look in his eyes, and he cried harder, so I just whispered, “Beebs, do you want a cookie?”

:Sniffle: “No.”

“Are you sure? I have cookies.”

“….no?”

Turns out, cookies really do solve all.

Cookies make me feel better too. Andy forgot to bring me home a cookie from the grocery store and I near bit his head off.

A good book that tons of people buy and relate to and love. In the mean time, this is the story of us as we flounder through raising our wild, little boys, moving a million times, and buying and renovating our 1968 Ranch home."
